Product Description

Our Glossy Bee shampoo bar has proved to be a popular, well-performing, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional shampoos. With the natural, pure essential oils of lavender to soothe and calm, rosemary to help relieve scalps prone to irritation and to add shine, and tea tree with natural antibacterial properties, you can trust in this shampoo bar to help promote shinier hair and a soothed scalp.   

As they are not soap based, they are firm and last for many, many washes; reliably restoring and hydrating your hair whilst leaving it soft and shiny - perfect for a plastic free hair washing option.

As the ingredients may be new to many, please see below for some further information as to what they are and why we are using them:

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is derived from coconut oil. It is mild, well tolerated, has good foaming power, providing a rich creamy lather.

Sodium Coco Sulfate, an EcoCert approved ingredient, made from the fatty acids of coconut oil, is a good palm-free alternative to sodium lauryl sulfate. It is milder, creates a rich foam, cleanses hair and skin and leaves a great shine.

Varisoft EQ 65 is a green, EcoCert approved, readily biodegradable ester quat which acts as a high performing conditioning agent aiding in smoothing down the hair cuticle and preventing hair damage. It is conditioning to skin and hair, while improving wet detangling and combing and offers superior dry combing and hair feel.

Cetearyl Alcohol is an emollient known to soften your skin and hair and provide slip which allows us to effectively detangle our hair.

Rosemary Vinegar is white wine vinegar infused with rosemary which is naturally anti-inflammatory and encourages cell regeneration. Most hair care products don't address hair and scalp pH when they should; most shampoos tend to be too alkaline. As a highly acidic substance, organic vinegars with 'Mother'  help to balance pH by increasing acidity to support smoothness, strength, and shine.

Argan Oil acts as a moisturiser and can help to soothe scalps prone to flakiness.

Lavender Essential Oil is naturally anti-fungal and promotes hair growth.

Rosemary Powder/Essential Oil stimulates circulation to the scalp, increases hair shine and relieves scalps prone to irritation.

Tea Tree Essential Oil has natural anti-fungal and antibacterial properties that help maintain a clean, healthy scalp.

Our Glossy Bee is available in approximately a 75g or 15g round. Both wrapped in fully compostable, recycled greaseproof paper. Please note that as our shampoo bars are produced by hand their weight can vary slightly.  

Directions for Use

Stroke our shampoo bar all over your wet hair or rub between your hands to create a lather.  Gently massage into the scalp and rinse.

Inhale the natural aroma of the essential oils for an extra ‘me-time’ treat.
